METHOD

High performance capillary electrophoresis 

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

Based on the differential migration of componenys of aqueous samples within a narrow quartz capillary under the influence of the applied electric field. Separated solutes are quantitatively detected at the capillary outlet by high sensitive optical system based on direct or indirect UV absorbance.

CAPEL-103R/103RT , their upgraded automated version CAPEL-104/104T, and CAPEL-105 are high-performance capillary electrophoresis instruments, equipped with a photometric detector. CAPEL-103R/103RT have manually controlled samplers with 4 inlet and 2 outlet positions, and CAPEL-104/104T/105 have autosamplers with 10 inlet and 10 outlet positions, the samples, rinsing and buffer solution being fed automatically according to a preset program. The autosampler in CAPEL-104/104T/105 allows an increase in number of samples analyzed to 7, and the customized software makes the analysis fully automated. All instruments are equipped with a reversible polarity voltage supply units and with a customized report outputs (hard copy and file). The CAPEL-103RT/104T/105 have a liquid cooling system with temperature control for capillary cooling.

       Pharmaceuticals: patent medicines analysis, technological monitoring, enantiomers separation; Biochemistry: analysis of proteins by capillary isoelectric focusing technique, pharmacokinetics studies, hemoglobin variants determination;
       Forensic studies: trace detection of explosives and drugs of abuse.

DESIGN AND OPERATION FEATURES


Detectors
CAPEL-103R / -103RT, -104/ -104T with one wavelength UV-detector lets you detect at 254 nm. CAPEL-105 is equipped with variable wavelength UV-detector, wavelength range 190 – 380 nm.

Vials
Standard 1.5 ml, minimal sample volume 100 µl.

SERVICES

Upon request installation and commissioning of CAPEL CE systems can be carried out on Customer's site by our service engineers. Consultations and initial training of attendance personnel with due account of Customer's specific needs are performed. Spare parts are delivered and repair is made upon Customer's request (free within the warranty period).
